Neither wins outright. The Aventure.2 has real range and speed advantages for anyone commuting more than a couple of miles each way; the RadRover 6 Plus has more payload capacity and a lower price for anyone hauling gear on a budget. Buy for whichever number is actually your constraint.
Both are Class-legal fat-tire commuters in the same $1,900–2,000 price band, and on paper they look nearly interchangeable: 750W hub motors, 4-inch tires, hydraulic disc brakes, a color display. The differences that actually matter are three numbers most spec sheets bury.
Range and speed favor the Aventure.2. Its 720Wh battery is genuinely bigger than the RadRover's 672Wh, and the gap shows up where it counts — a claimed 60 miles versus 45. It's also the only Class 3 bike here: 28 mph under pedal assist against the RadRover's 20 mph Class 2 cap, which matters if any of your commute is on the road and not just trail. Aventon's torque sensor is the other real difference — it responds to how hard you're pedaling, not just whether you're pedaling, which is the difference between an e-bike that feels like cheating and one that feels like a bike.
Payload and price favor the RadRover 6 Plus. 275 lb of rated payload capacity is meaningfully more headroom for a heavier rider, a loaded pannier, or both, and Rad's larger service network is worth something if a warranty claim ever needs a real person nearby. At $1,999 it's also $100 cheaper before either brand's promotions.
Neither bike is objectively better. The honest answer is to figure out which constraint actually applies to you — how far you're riding, or how much you're carrying — and let that number pick the bike, not the spec sheet as a whole.
