Methodology

How we work

How this site tests, researches, and sources every claim — hands-on when we can, published specs when we can't, always cited.

  1. 01

    When we've tested it

A review page on this site means someone here actually used the product, for as long as its tested-on date implies, with at least three independent sources backing the specific claims made. If we haven't personally used something, it doesn't get a review page.

  2. 02

    When we haven't

For a category we haven't personally used, the honest move isn't to fake a test. It's a comparison instead, built entirely from what the manufacturers themselves publish — every spec cited, dated, and checkable, with no claim of hands-on testing anywhere on the page.

  3. 03

    How we handle affiliate relationships

Commission never decides rank or inclusion. Every recommendation on this site discloses its affiliate relationship above the fold, not in a footer — see the full disclosure page.

Most of what's on this site is exactly what it says it is: a review means someone here actually used the product. Where that isn't true yet, the alternative isn't silence or a fabricated test — it's a comparison, cited entirely from public sources, labeled for what it is. Every factual claim, tested or researched, carries a citation with a URL and the date it was checked; citations older than the staleness window are re-checked or removed automatically, enforced by the build, not by an editor's memory.
